I provide copywriting, editing, and content strategy support for PDX Next, the Portland Airport's five-year expansion project. I help the port brainstorm and develop story ideas, then research and write bimonthly email newsletters, multimedia pieces, special print publications, and social media posts. The email newsletters have a >40% open rate, which is more than double the industry standard.

Airbnb City Search

I was a writer and editor on a year-long project to boost SEO on 2,500 Airbnb city and destination search pages, working with a team of editors and subcontractors to add original travel guides. I have also provided editing services on several other internal and external-facing projects.

Roccam Recruiting

Helped a nonprofit-staffing agency rework its website to market its new, innovative business model. Came up with site structure and wrote site copy, from home page to staff bios. Also designed and edited an e-newsletter for prospective clients, and the firm cross-posted each piece of text on its social media channels.

Camp EDMO

Working with Warner PR as a copywriter, helped a summer camp revamp its website to reflect its post-pandemic transition online and a host of new offerings. Came up with the camp's new tagline, edited all session descriptions, wrote email newsletter copy, and created a style guide.

Tasting Table San Francisco

As the editor of this daily email publication's San Francisco edition, I produced most of the content and shepherded it through the production process, monitored KPIs, and wrote sponsored content. During my tenure subscriber rates doubled, and TT San Francisco maintained the highest open rates of any city edition.

San Francisco Chronicle: Culture Desk

Oversaw the transformation of the San Francisco Chronicle's Style section into the Culture Desk, a new way of assigning and publishing culture features with a close eye on their online appeal. Secured the buy-in of multiple departments (editorial, photography, interactive) and sold my vision to upper management.
